BENEFACTORS’ EVENING AT LINDESAY
Forty people gathered in the beautiful grounds of Lindesay on the evening of December 5th to celebrate the launch of the Benefactor Program.
Diana Hazard from the Women’s Committee of Lindesay took the guests on a tour of Lindesay and refreshments were served in the marquee.
The National Trust wanted to pay a special tribute to those who have supported it so generously over the years. The status of Grand Benefactor, Benefactor and Guardian was bestowed on many of those present and, in their absence, on others.
Tina Jackson thanked everyone for their support and introduced the new President of the National Trust, Professor John Niland, who spoke of his pleasure in accepting the role and his understanding of the crucial part that benefactors play in the health of the organization.
