DAVID GONSKI AO David Gonski graduated in Commerce and Law from the University of New South Wales in 1975 and 1976 respectively. He is a solicitor and was a partner at Freehills and Chairman of Investec Wentworth Pty Limited, a corporate advisory firm that became part of Investec Bank (Australia) in March 2001.

David is Chairman of Coca-Cola Amatil Limited and the Investec group in Australia. He is a Director of ANZ Banking Group Limited, ING Australia Group Limited, John Fairfax Holdings Limited and Westfield Holdings Limited.

David is President of the Art Gallery of New South Wales Trust, Chairman of NIDA and the Australia Council and Chairman of the Sydney Grammar School Trust.

He is a member of the Prime Minister's Community Business Partnership. He was a member of the Committee of Inquiry into Charitable and Related Organizations and also a member of the Nugent Committee, which examined the major arts organisations in Australia. David is the author of the Gonski Report into the Australian film industry.

David is also a member of The Takeovers Panel.
