NATIONAL TRUST WAY TO SOUTH AMERICA
28 September-16 October 2001

Starting with the historic buildings and collections of Buenos Aires and Lima, we travel to villages and markets of the Peruvian mountains, inhabited by descendants of the Incas. One of the world's 'great train journeys' along the Urubamba River will take us to Machu Picchu, the 'lost city of the Incas' to watch the sun rise and set over the Andes.

Travel through the La Raya Pass (highest in the world) peopled by Indians whose lifestyles have not changed for hundreds of years. See the Island of the Moon and the Island of the Sun on Lake Titicaca, before ending an unforgettable journey in the romantic, heritage steeped city of La Paz.
